Sarlic Bliss stretch doom metal across long, sombre passages where weighty guitar riffs give way to fragile melodies. Clean singing and guttural growls share the space, while black- and death-metal textures darken the arrangements. Rather than rushing between riffs, the German group lets tension build through shifts in dynamics and atmosphere. Their music carries an epic scale without abandoning the harsher edges of extreme metal, moving between introspection, melancholy and bursts of aggression. The emphasis stays firmly on melody, atmosphere and emotional weight.

History
Sarlic Bliss are a German melodic doom and post-black metal band from Mosbach in Baden-Württemberg, formed in October 2021. The group brought together musicians with experience in the German metal scene, including bassist and keyboardist Daniel Fischer, associated with Midnattsol, and vocalist Jochen Thurn, associated with Bann. Early material was developed and recorded in the band's own studio under the title Darkest Desire, with the title song receiving a video release. Sarlic Bliss released their debut full-length, Brægn Hæft, through MDD Records in November 2023. Its six extended compositions explored dark, melancholic arrangements, contrasting clean and guttural vocals, and influences from doom, black and death metal. The closing track, Departed Grace, featured guest vocalist Gogo Melone. Following the debut, the band continued developing its atmospheric approach and announced a second full-length, Melodies Of A Dying Dawn, for November 2026 through MDD Records.
