200 Stab Wounds drive old school death metal through thick, low-tuned riffs, guttural vocals and a sharp sense of groove. The Cleveland band shifts between rapid drumming, pounding mid-tempo sections and abrupt rhythmic changes, drawing physical momentum from hardcore without losing its death metal foundation. Their songs make room for lead guitar work, grim atmosphere and instrumental breaks between the heavier passages. Beneath the abrasive sound, tightly arranged riffs and memorable rhythmic hooks remain central to their identity.

History
200 Stab Wounds formed in Cleveland, Ohio, in 2019. Their first EP, Piles of Festering Decomposition, arrived in April 2020, followed by the debut full-length Slave to the Scalpel in November 2021 through Maggot Stomp. The band subsequently signed with Metal Blade Records, releasing Masters of Morbidity and their second album, Manual Manic Procedures, in June 2024. Extensive touring helped establish their reputation within the contemporary American death metal scene. By 2026, the lineup comprised Steve Buhl, Raymond Macdonald, Todd Thompson and Owen Pooley. In October 2026, the band premiered the music video for Sweet Suicide, a track from their announced third studio album, Lowest Form, scheduled for February 19, 2027 through Metal Blade Records. A European and UK tour with Whitechapel, Sylosis and Tribal Gaze is scheduled to begin in January 2027.
Lowest Form is the third studio album from Cleveland death metal band 200 Stab Wounds, scheduled for February 19, 2027 through Metal Blade Records. Across eight tracks, the band develops its established riff-driven sound through tighter arrangements, shifting tempos and a greater emphasis on atmosphere. The record includes synth interludes and a spoken-word passage on Symbolic in Glory. Opening track Pangs of Conscience addresses accountability and self-reflection, while Sweet Suicide confronts anger, despair and personal struggles. The latter was accompanied by a music video produced by NOWHERE2RUN. Arthur Rizk produced, mixed and mastered the album, with artwork by James Bousema. Lowest Form is planned for digital, CD and multiple vinyl editions.
